Hello everyone, I’m Jeff Miron. I’m an Economist and senior lecturer at Harvard University, where I serve as Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Economics. I am also the Director of Economic Studies at the Cato Institute. Prior to my time at Harvard, I served as chair of the Department of Economics at Boston University.
I’ve been studying the effects of drug criminalization for over 30 years, and I’ve learned that while prohibition may reduce drug abuse to a small degree, the costs of such policies on society are much greater than the benefits.
Ask me anything.
